i don’t think samsung edge feature is gimmick.. its really packed with so
much user interface to solve push notifications, shortcuts space saving or
other neat functionality to help users do more with their note.. it also
looks something new

Great and to the point video Dave. I really liked both devices. The design
changes on both were very welcome and the performance looks great. From HTC
that is to be expected but Samsung phones for the past couple years have
been lagging in their performance but from what I have seen it seems to
have sorted out that problem. The Edge in my opinion seems like its half
gimmicky this time. I can see potential from its presence and aesthetically
it looks good and non intrusive.
For now I only see one problem with both devices and for the M9 its the
lack of a 2K display. I know that 1080p is fine but some future proofing
wouldn’t hurt and seeing as 2K displays are the trend for smartphones this
year they should have included it
The S6’s problem is the exclusion of a micro SD card slot. That used to be
a great feature from Samsung’s smartphones and it is a shame that they will
most likely exclude this feature from here on out.

The Edge is a gimmick, all the phones have excellent specs but real world
performance is key. By the way you said Pee Pee!! LOL sorry had to say it!

I really don’t understand the obsession with putting insanely high
resolution 1440p displays on such small screens, you don’t gain any usable
real estate and it means you need a more power hungry GPU to run it. 1080p
is more than enough for your average phone screen, I for one would like to
see much improved battery life, I’m just tired of having to charge my smart
phone every day. It seems that we have all come to accept such short
battery life in our modern phones.

Now both flagship phones are out M9 and S6 with 3Gb of RAM…Apple should
match this…but knowing Apple they probably will ship the next iphone 6s
with 2Gb of RAM (hope I am wrong)…

No touch ID, that’s pretty weak! Samsung and HTC suck Google lollipop!

I laughed when I saw the S6 because of how much it looks like an iPhone 6.
Plus they’ve neutered almost all the features samsung had going for it. Non
removable battery, not waterproof any more, glass back (yay more to smash)
and non-expandable memory. Seriously trying to be Apple rather than
building their own brand.
